My name is Sharie voss. I hang my hat in Washington State, I have been married for 27 yrs and have a 25 yr old son and a 21 yr old daughter. I currently work as a freelance Artist/Designer and contract work with several companies. I am currently an Elite Designer/Administrator at www.designcontest.net
I have always been involved with some form of art, drawing, painting, sculpting, traditional photography and now digital art. I worked for about 15 yrs as a distribution manager for a wholesale magazine and book distributor. While working at the wholesaler I started working up advertisements and motivational design ads for the local newspapers and schools. 1997 I decided to work full time at freelance and contract work. Doing this allowed me to explore different types of art and design. My artistic abilities were expanded and grew. A new world opened up with the internet! I started doing more art and design on the computer.
2005 I joined
www.photosig.com and www.artsig.com . I went out and bought Adobe illustrator and Adobe Photoshop..( I remember coming home shocked about how much money I just spent ). I tried to work the programs but became very frustrated. I put the programs away. Shopping around a store one day I found photoshop elements. I loved it and worked that little program to death; all the while the program was teaching me how to work the “real” photoshop ( in a very small way). I fell in love with photography and ventured out more into the digital world.
I started selling fish, reptile and small animal photos to a large pet store chain for ad and display photos, mailers and newspaper inserts. I have sold many photos of flowers and other subjects to a variety of magazines as well as greeting cards to American Greeting Cards and Hallmark . I have done concept art for the cartoon movie “The Fast and The Furriest---00k9"” and created the concept art and idea for the stuffed animals “Little Peepers” . and The very first original "Twisted Whiskers"
My design work and other arts is always expanding. I love to learn and explore as well as create art and designs for others.
